Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, 26, has died following a domestic dispute with his fiance. The details are still hazy, but apparently Chris ran after his fiance when she was trying to leave, hopped in the back of her pickup and she never stopped causing him to be thrown from the vehicle. He suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at 6:36 a.m today after being put on life support late Wednesday night.

As unfortunate as this news is, it’s hardly surprising at all. He has had a long history of problems outside of football and everyone knew he needed help. I fault the Bengals for never forcing him to seek the help he so badly needed. As a football player he had the talent to rival Terrell Owens and Brandon Marshall, but as a human he was as fucked up as Mike Tyson.

This video of Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Eric Wood breaking his leg against the Jacksonville Jaguars is sure to make everyone cringe. Wood remains in the hospital from suffering the hit which broke his tibia and fibula. His football career is likely over. Ouch!
